Although the baby carriers and baby swings currently on the market are very helpful to parents, as a mother and grandmother, I know that babies usually prefer to be held upright and not be put down, or they will fuss. My product the YIA-YIA, Greek for grandmother, is unlike any other product because the baby is being held upright.
Although technology has changed tremendously over the last three decades, babies’ needs and wants have not changed, they still want to be held. Today, it’s common for new parents to place their baby in a soft carrier and wear them while doing chores.
Currently, I am a grandmother of two beautiful little girls and am battling Stage 3 breast cancer, and am unable to hold my two grand-daughters. That's when I realized that I must bring my concept to the market.
The concept for this product began over 35 years ago, when | was a new mom. I wanted to hold my daughter as much as possible, and she wanted me to constantly hold her. Two years later, things were a little more demanding when my son arrived. I thought, wouldn't it be nice if there were two of me?
and I have developed an innovative, new product that benefits both the baby and caregiver.
